Seacliff   Beach   /  Capitola  California
Left: North view
from Seacliff beach
showing Capitola
pier, within walking
distance at low tide.
The point is the
south end of  the
Santa Cruz
boardwalk.
Some surf near the
pier at Capitola and
near the point, but
surfing is not ideal.

Seacliff enjoys a
microclimate and is
often warmer than
the surrounding
area, a great place
for family fun.
Right : Looking
south at Seacliff
beach. The cement
boat was built
during WWI, but
was not completed
before the war
ended. It  has been
a fishing pier,
swimming spot, and
dance hall. After
several pacific
storms broke the
boat, access was
cut off. However,
the pier is still used
for fishing.
As you can see below, tastes vary, but most find a relaxing day at Seacliff.
Above:

I am a happy camper when I have
suntan lines on my feet, meaning it has
been warm enough to go outside
without socks, a rarity along the
beaches in the San Francisco bay
area.

Perhaps only
Pismo beach
sports more RVs
than Seacliff.

Campers are
limited to thirty
calendar days
per year.
Soon these young
girls, trying to get
warm after swimming
in the frigid waters,
will be looking for
more challenging
beaches and bigger
surf.
