I regret to say there is no surfing in Patong. The beach faces west into the Indian Ocean. The water is warm, the
humidity is high and tourists abound. A Thai massage is a great way to start the day. The night life is busy and starts
late. I would not recommend an extended stay in Patong, but a few days is a nice change.
