At the west end of Carmel is a broad sloped beach with fine white sand looking out onto the Pacific, the
seventeen mile drive, and some of the West coast's best golf at Pebble Beach & Spy Glass.  The photos
below were taken as we arrived late in the afternoon for a Picnic, a short walk from the Bed & Breakfast.
Carmel beach is rarely surfed. However, Carmel  can be fun for  lovers of art and fine dining. There are
many hotels and inns. Because of the expense, it is best to stay with friends, if possible. Further, parking
in Monterey is metered heavily and enforced seven days a week. Parking  tickets are a profit center for
the city.
